The Cougars brought the lead back into single digits late in the second quarter, but UBC’s Blain LaBranche hit back-to-back three-pointers to put the Thunderbirds up by 15 at the half.

UBC put the game away in the third quarter, outscoring the Cougars by a 24-13 margin in the period.
