Game Summary

The University of Regina’s women’s hockey team was shut out on Saturday afternoon by Katie Urness and the Calgary Dinos, as the Cougars lost 3-0 in a Canada West game at the Olympic Oval in Calgary.

Urness made 18 saves to secure the shutout for Calgary, while Caitlin O’Hara, Sinead Tracey, and Rebecca Niehaus all scored for the Dinos.

Lisa Urban made 17 saves in the loss for the Cougars.

Neither team was able to score with the man advantage, as Regina was 0-for-8 on the power play and Calgary was 0-for-6.

The loss drops the Cougars’ record to 5-6-5 on the season, while Calgary improves to 3-13-0.

The Cougars will have next weekend off before returning to the ice against Saskatchewan on Jan. 30 and 31.
