2009-10 Men's Basketball Coaching Staff

Mick Panko
Assistant Coach

Mick Panko is entering his fifth season as an assistant coach with the men’s basketball team. His primary responsibility with the team is video coordination for advance scouting of opponents.

Panko has fifteen years of coaching at the high school level around Regina as well as eleven summers of experience with the Basketball Saskatchewan programs. Along with James Hillis and Steve Burrows, he was on the staff of the Team Saskatchewan squad that won a bronze medal at the 2005 Canada Summer Games. In the summer of 2008, Panko and Burrows led the under-15 team to a fourth-place finish at the national championships.

Panko is a NCCP basketball course facilitator and a physical education teacher at Balfour Collegiate. He and his wife Kelsey, a French Immersion teacher at Thom, have an English bulldog named Duke.
